No Pulp Music Showcase at CMJ, October 23, 2009, Arlene’s Grocery, New York, NY
Hey fans and friends and rockers of the world!
I know you haven’t heard much from us while we’ve been hiding away (only coming out to see that the sky still exists and to play a few shows here and there). Oct 12 at The Blender Theater was a great show, and playing at CMJ was a blast. Thanks to No Pulp Music for puttin’ us up at Arlene’s Grocery here in NYC. And thanks OF COURSE to all the fans that came out and sang along. That was an incredible moment.
But anyway, why have we been holed up in our rooms, hovering over our desks and making those “yes, we have a plan, mwaaaa” faces? Well, we’ve been mixing our record, and it is starting to finally come together. I told Eric yesterday, I feel like I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Mike Denneen (Howie Day, Fountains of Wayne, The Click Five) has been bringin’ his magic to the tunes and we’re really happy with how things are going.
Anyway, hopefully we’ll be done by the end of November or around there, and we’ll take it to the next step (mastering and artwork). We’re closer than we’ve ever been, and I’m floored by everyone’s encouragement and anticipation. It means a lot to all of us.
Also, big news, we brought a manager on board. Shari Reich is her name and she’s been making all kinds of good things happen for us. So, as she helps us move forward, stay tuned for some exciting announcements from the Atomic Tom HQ.
And stay warm! Peace.
Ps. If you’re in NYC next Tuesday, come out to our show at Mercury Lounge with The Stationary Set!

Hey music lovers,
We exited the studio at the end of June and just last week we finally started mixing our record with the most excellent mixing engineer Jon Kaplan (Parachute, Kill the Alarm, Lola Ray). Just heard the first finished track and it sounds awesome. Stay tuned for more news on that.
We’re also in the process of booking the rest of the fall 2009 show schedule and we’ll be playing dates along the east coast, so stay tuned and if you’re on the east coast, look for Atomic Tom coming to your town.
Other than that, if you haven’t seen the most recent video blog featuring our awesome string quartet and Toby teaching the rest of the band his favorite joke, check it out below!
This is our first official post on Tumblr, so stay tuned for more news coming down the net.
Till then. We love you! Thanks for supporting us and keep rockin’ music lovers!
